Development for Teachers
Since 1996, Jacob’s Pillow has invited area educators to experience
dance first-hand during its summer Festival. Each Institute track
provides opportunities for educators to network, mentor, be mentored,
and deepen working relationships with Pillow artists.
Jacob's
Pillow Summer Dance Institute for Educators is held at Jacob's
Pillow during the summer Festival. The program is a Professional
Development Program for K-12 School Administrators, Classroom
Teachers, and Specialists. Educators attend dance classes, performances,
artist-led talks, and sessions on topics such as "Writing
and Talking About Dance.”
Jacob's
Pillow Curriculum in Motion® Institute for Educators
is held at Jacob's Pillow during the summer Festival. The program
is a Professional Development Program for K-12 School Administrators,
Classroom Teachers, and Specialists from participating schools.
Curriculum in Motion® Artists and School Educators
meet to share their residency experiences and examine the most
effective aspects of the co-teaching and student learning process.
